some say jeanie she my downfall with the pills and alcohol...

i have been searching for words since sunday to tell you about man man... i got to the show around 8 and andy zipf was playing. he sounded a little like damian rice, acoustic and good. after his set i got a drink looked around for someone i might know or maybe even a familiar face and randys wife notices me and says hi, what a nice lady! man man makes theri entrance wearing white. all white. white jeans white shirts white head bands. six people begin to sing as the rhodes please a nice little rhythm, the drummer is standing on his seat. all of of the guys i notice have drums, pots pans, toy horns... some sort of something or other to make noise. as they began to play i felt this smile come across my face as i mouthed the words *no way, this is amazing* this smile stayed through the entire show. i read a few books here and there and this year i finished reading on the road, as kerouack explains the bars downtown denver and the trumpet players and bands who just played and tehy felt the vibe of the whole audience and they just blew and blew... this is where i felt like i was in a club in teh 1950's jazy and insane. man man sounds a little like a disney movie, very theatrical and very energetic. i could see these guys as characters like kats or dogs playing instruments in an alley, i dont know these are some of the thoughts in my head as i heard them play the best live show i have seen in a long time. good job man man! i also bought their cd with quarters it was a totally awesome exchange as i poured quarters into the merch guys hand and he looked around akwardly for somewhere to place 11 dollars worth of quarters. i talked to the lead singer after the show and i told him that i loved the show he said yeah i saw you freakin out the whole night! what a cool guy!
